Indierect was a passion project during Austin's indie music renaissance in the early 2000s. We threw countless shows, put out records by Austin bands The White White Lights, Belaire, Lomita, and The Arm among others, and did our best to support independent music. We also participated in Echotone, a feature-length music documentary about Austin's independent music scene.
Indierect was operated as a not-for-profit music organization by formerly Austin-based designer and producer Daniel Perlaky. The goal was to help a few of his favorite artists with marketing, booking, and distribution while working with them closely to strike a balance between art, commerce, and sustainability.
